The second stop of the Woolworths Victorian Junior Surfing Titles is set to be held on the Mornington Peninsula this weekend with over 70 of the states best to compete.
After a strong showing at Bells Beach for the opening round, local surfer Sara Hickson will come in as top seed in the Under 18 Girls division. Sara will face strong competition from fellow Mornington Peninsula surfer Ava Holland who is currently sitting in second place on the State Rankings.
Both Hickson and Holland will both have strong local knowledge of the break and be ones to watch across the weekend.
On the Boys side of the draw, Barwon Heads surfer Jack Basset will come in as top seed in the Under 18s. Former Under 16 State Champion, Jerry Kelly (Barwon Heads) and current second placed surfer Rye Cicero (Sandy Point) will also be looking for solid results ahead of the final round of the series in May.
Other surfers to keep an eye on across the weekend include Rose Holland (Mornington Peninsula), Harlem Pec (Jan Juc), Chloe Muscroft (Jan Juc) and Remy Filer (Jan Juc).
Conditions for the weekend are set to be challenging with a solid swell easing over the weekend and moderate onshore winds.
Competitors check in is at 7.15am for a potential 7.30am start at Rye Ocean Beach.
