Victorian Open Series heads to the open beaches of Phillip Island

Friday 16th February, 2024 (Cape Woolamai, Victoria): Phillip Island will play host to Round 2 of the Victorian Open Series this weekend bringing together the top open surfers from across the state.

Vying for the title of State Champion and a coveted spot in the Rip Curl Pro Trials, surfers will be greeted this weekend with a mid-sized swell and light winds at Cape Woolamai.

Surfers to watch across the weekend include current rankings leader Emily McGettigan (Torquay), Ava Holland (Mornington Peninsula), former state champion Todd Rosewall (Jan Juc) and Lucas Hickson (Mornington Penisula).

“Good luck to all competitors this weekend,” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.

“With a great looking forecast, im looking forward to seeing some epic action at Cape Woolamai.”

Swell forecast is for a fun sized swell on Saturday with light winds ahead of a seabreeze into the afternoon.
