Victorian Longboard Titles to crown champions this weekend at Point Impossible

The final round of the Victorian Longboard Titles is set to conclude this weekend at Point Impossible on the Surf Coast.

Over 80 competitors will gather at the perfect right hand point break to decide 2024 State Champions across a range of divisions from Under 18 to Over 70. 

The Open divisions will once again have extra motivation with wildcards into the Bioglan Bells Beach Longboard Classic on offer for both Mens and Womens Open State Champion.

Sitting in first position on the Open Womens rankings is Bea Conroy (Pt Lonsdale) who will is the inform surfer of the event after a semi-final finish at the Single Fin Mingle in New Zealand last month.

Conroy will have strong competition in reigning State Champion, Molly Powell (Anglesea). Powell has been dominant at Point Impossible over the years and will be one to watch over the weekend.

On the Men’s side of the draw, 2023 State Champion, Sam Dunton (Mornington Peninsula) comes in as top seed after a win at Phillip Island in March at the opening round.

Other surfers to watch in the Open Mens division include Ben Considine (Barwon Heads), Tas Dunton (Mornington Peninsula) and Matt Shay (Torquay).

Competition is set to begin on Saturday morning with a call to be made at Point Impossible for a 7.30am start. Full schedule and live scores can be accessed via www.surfingvic.com/live
