Surfing Victoria is proud to announce the 2024 Victorian Junior Surfing Team presented by Surf Better Now that is set to compete at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles at Wollongong next week.
Held in Wollongong in NSW, the 7 day event will feature over 180 competitors from across the country.
30 of Victoria’s top junior surfers will compete across the event with surfers to watch including current Victorian State Champions Sara Hickson (Mornington Peninsula) and Max Bassett (Barwon Heads), sister duo and top ranked Victorians on the National Rankings Ava and Rose Holland (Mornington Peninsula).
“Being part of the Victorian Junior Surfing Team is an incredible honor,” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing how our team performs over the week, no doubt they will all put in their best efforts and make the state proud.”
The Opening Ceremony will be Sunday November 24th with surfing to begin on Monday November 25th. The event will be completed on Sunday December 1st.
Surfers will compete in individual divisions including Under 14, 16 and 18 age groups along with the prestigious MR Shield School divisions.
