A massive day of surfing, food and activities are planned for this Sunday as the WorkSafe Tradies Challenge heads to URBNSURF Melbourne.
The event, in its 8th year brings together surfing tradies from around the state to Australia’s first wave park, the event is a relaxed and fun surfing competition.
Complimenting this years event at Australia’s first wave park will be free ear checks by Melbourne base earLAB for all spectators and competitors. earLAB is the sole distributor of the state-of-the-art Pro-Aquaz earplugs from ACS. These plugs are custom molded to your ears for maximum fit and comfort.
Onsite restaurant Three Blue Ducks will be providing lunch specials from midday and happy hours in the afternoon for competitors and spectators keen to check out the action in the water. Showcasing their passion for sustainable and ethically-farmed produce, the Ducks’ food menus and drinks lists feature the best of Victoria’s artisan producers, local farms, wineries and craft breweries.
Traditional Finnish Sauna on wheels, Hello Sauna will also be in attendance giving spectators and competitors a chance to enjoy the age-old tradition of sauna therapy. From promoting relaxation and stress relief to enhancing circulation and detoxification, the sauna experience encompasses a holistic approach to well-being. The combination of heat, steam, and therapeutic effects brings about muscle relaxation, alleviates pain and contributes to a healthy complexion through skin cleansing and rejuvenation.
Surfing Victoria will also be running the highly successful Surfers Rescue 24/7 program. Surfers Rescue 24/7 is a free Board Rescue and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course for all surfers and recreational water users in Victoria. It provides vital training to assist in an emergency situation and could ultimately save a life.
