Torquay, VIC/AUS (Friday 15th March, 2026): Victoria’s emerging surfing talent and strongest boardrider clubs will take centre stage this weekend as 13th Beach and Jan Juc hosts two major events across May 16–17, with the UNCLOUD Under 21 Victorian State Titles and Victorian Teams Titles bringing a full weekend of competition to the Surf Coast.

Held across separate days, the weekend will begin on Saturday, May 16, with the UNCLOUD Victorian Teams Titles at 13th Beach, before attention shifts to the UNCLOUD Under 21 Victorian State Titles on Sunday, May 17 at Jan Juc.

Both events will showcase different elements of Victorian surfing culture, from the camaraderie and club spirit of the Teams Titles to the high-performance individual competition of the Under 21 State Titles.

The UNCLOUD Victorian Teams Titles will see boardrider clubs from across the state battle for team honours in one of Victoria’s most exciting and unique formats. Designed to celebrate club culture and strengthen the connection between Victorian surfing communities, teams will compete in Mixed, Female and Junior divisions.

The event traditionally delivers a highly energetic atmosphere, with clubs rallying behind their teammates and local pride on full display.

Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson said the Teams Titles remain one of the most enjoyable and engaging events on the state calendar.

“The Teams Titles create an atmosphere unlike any other event throughout the year,” Robertson said.

“There is a real sense of pride and connection that comes with representing your boardrider club, and it always produces an exciting day of surfing. It highlights the strength of Victorian surfing communities and brings people together through healthy competition.”

Following Saturday’s team competition, Sunday will see the focus turn toward Victoria’s future stars at the UNCLOUD Under 21 Victorian State Titles.

Created to provide an additional competitive pathway for developing athletes, the event offers surfers the opportunity to continue progressing beyond traditional junior divisions while preparing for the demands of open and national competition.

The Under 21 format creates an important bridge in athlete development, giving emerging competitors valuable experience at a critical stage of their surfing careers.

Robertson said the event represents an exciting step forward for Victorian athlete development.

“The UNCLOUD Under 21 Victorian State Titles provide an important opportunity for young surfers to continue developing within a high-level competitive environment,” he said.

“Victoria has a strong history of producing athletes who progress to national and international competition, and creating additional opportunities like this supports that pathway.”

“The Under 21 division gives surfers a chance to continue refining their competitive skills while competing against some of the state’s best emerging talent.”

Set against the backdrop of Jan Juc’s renowned waves and rich surfing history, both events are expected to deliver an exciting weekend of competition and provide spectators with a look at both the present and future of Victorian surfing.

With favourable conditions forecast across the weekend, competitors and supporters alike can expect two days of strong performances, passionate support and a celebration of Victorian surfing culture.

The Victorian Teams Titles will take place on Saturday, May 16, followed by the UNCLOUD Under 21 Victorian State Titles on Sunday, May 17, with competition times subject to surf conditions.
