Surfing Victoria is proud to announce that former board member, Glenn Emslie, has been awarded Life Membership for his dedication and commitment over a 20+ year span of service to the organisation.
A lifelong surfer and passionate longboarder, Glenn grew up surfing the breaks of Phillip Island before moving to the Bellarine Peninsula. Glen has been involved across all aspects of surfing from competing, to judging and boardriders clubs.
“Glenn Emslie has had an immense impact on Surfing Victoria over his 20 years of service on the board,” said Surfing Victoria Chair Ashleigh Wall.
“I would like to thank him for his dedication and friendship during his tenure. I have no doubt Glenn will remain part of the Surfing Victoria furniture for years to come.”
Glenn was elected to the Board of Surfing Victoria in 2004 and has been a stablising force for the organisation over his 20+ years of service.
A founding member of Ocean Grove based SOUL Longboard Club, Glenn has been the Surfing Victoria Longboard State Rep, National Rep as well as team manager for the Victorian State Team at the Longboard Australian Titles.
Surfing Victoria thanks Glenn for his time and commitment and positive impact he has had on the organisation.
