Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Champion Isabella Nichols to headline 2025 Great Ocean Road Womens Surf Fest

Published on 17/10/2025

The 2025 Great Ocean Road Womens Surf Fest held in Lorne on Gadubanud Country is set to be one of the biggest yet, with 2025 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach event champion Isabella Nichols confirmed to be attending the event.

Growing up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Isabella Nichols burst on to the surfing stage in 2016 winning the WSL World Junior Championships before progressing to the Championship Tour in 2021 and winning one of the most sought after trophies in professional sports, the Bell, in 2025.

Isabella will be attending the festival on Saturday November 15th, and will be sitting down to do a Q&A on her story from being a grom growing up at the Beach to winning the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.

“I’m really excited to be heading to Victoria for the Great Ocean Road Women’s Surf Festival,” said Nichols. “It’s such a special opportunity to connect with other women who share a deep love for the ocean, exchange stories, and build new friendships through surfing.”

Isabella will also be hosting a surf session for identified up and coming female surfers through the Surfing Australia UNLSHD Program that aims to identify, nurture, and develop the next generation of Australian female surfing talent.

“Its fantastic to welcome Isabella down to the Great Ocean Road Womens Surf Fest,” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.

“She is no stranger to Victoria having visited regularly for the past 10 years and now being one of the few surfers to win the Bell. This will be a fantastic opportunity for all female surfers to learn from her story and get the chance to meet her at the event.”

The broader schedule is now live on the website and features a range of exciting workshops and opportunities for all women and girls including workshops from Honu Honi Surf Camps, Surf Coast Womens Health Group, Run Club, morning Yoga, and a Careers in Surfing Panel.
