Dates for the 2024/25 Victorian Open Series have been announced with the 3-event series to kick off at Bells Beach on September 14th, 2024 as part of the West Coast Festival of Surfing.

The series will then head to the Mornington Peninsula on February 15th, 2025 before finishing on Phillip Island on March 22nd, 2025.

The series is the pathway event to the Rip Curl Pro Victorian Trials, giving one Victorian a spot in the main event at the Rip Curl Pro in both Mens and Womens divisions.

“As the lead in events to the Rip Curl Pro Trials, the Victorian Open Series is an important element to our development pathway as well as giving juniors a chance to hone their skills against our more experienced competitors” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.

“The list of surfers who have gone on to the Championship Tour and Qualifying Series have gone through the Victorian Open Series is incredible. It is a great stepping stone for surfers to progress and make it to the next level.”

Former open champions include Nikki van Dijk (Phillip Island), Xavier Huxtable (Jan Juc), India Robinson (Jan Juc), Glyndyn Ringrose (Phillip Island), Bella Wilson (Jan Juc), Troy Brooks (Jan Juc), Mark Phipps (Pt Lonsdale), Georgia Fish (Flinders) and Sophie Fletcher (Phillip Island).
