Torquay, VIC/AUS (Friday 6th March, 2026): Rip Curl and Surfing Victoria are proud to announce the further three years of support for the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles held at Djarrak / Bells Beach each year in May.

Held on the traditional land of the Wadawurrung people, the event is heading into its 13th year at the world famous break that also hosts the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach WSL Championship Tour event.

“Rip Curl is proud to continue supporting the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles for a further three years” said Rip Curl CEO Ashley Reade. “This renewed partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to reconciliation and strengthening relationships with the Indigenous surfing community, in line with our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan. We sponsor some incredible Indigenous surfers, and we can’t wait to see them take on the iconic Bells Bowl again this year.”

One of the most prestigious events on the Australian Surfing Calendar, the event is a true gathering of communities from across the country and sees over 80 competitors each year make the journey to Djarrak.

“We are excited to have Rip Curl continue as part of the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles going forward” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.

“This event holds a special place in not only the Victorian Surfing Calendar but also nationally and having Rip Curl continuing to support the event shows the commitment they have in supporting the wider Indigenous Surfing Community.”

The event will feature past champions such as Otis Carey (Coffs Harbour, NSW) and Russel Molony (Shelly Beach, NSW), Lehaini Zoric (Broken Head, NSW), Summer Simon (Port Kembla, NSW) and Landen Smales (Noosa, QLD) along with former masters champion Robbie Page (Kempsey, NSW).
